Student Programs
The Center for Cybersecurity offers its students numerous opportunities outside of the classroom to hone their technical expertise and leadership skills, and to gain practical experience in their field of interest.
For CSAW, the most comprehensive student-run cyber security event in the world, students organize events, interact with industry representatives, and get to write challenges for many of the program’s competitions.
The OSIRIS Lab, an acronym for Offensive Security, Incident Response, and Internet Security, is a student-run cybersecurity research lab and the principal organizers behind the annual Capture the Flag competition at CSAW. The lab also participates in at least one Capture the Flag competition every weekend, hosts Hack Nights covering “security essentials,” and runs regular Cyber Security Club meetings described as “part of an extended speaker series where cyber security professionals, whose experiences run the gamut of the cybersecurity industry, give presentations to attendees.”
