Renata is currently a postdoctoral researcher at New York University, working with Prof. Justin Cappos. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Novi Sad in Serbia, where her research focused on domain-specific languages and graph theory. After completing her PhD, she shifted her focus to the domain of cybersecurity, where she has led the development of The Archive Framework, a system dedicated to protecting digital law repositories. Built on top of The Update Framework (TUF), it can provide archival authentication to ensure that documents stored in Git repositories remain accessible and verifiable, not just in the immediate future, but for decades and even centuries to come. Having worked in the industry for several years, she is passionate about applying research to solving real-world problems.
