Brandon Sloane is a part-time Ph.D. student, working under the direction of Dr. Danny Y. Huang, and a full-time cybersecurity professional who has been in the industry for more than 20 years. He currently works for Meta where he leads their AI Security Global Risk and Compliance program, and key efforts around Information Security Risk Management. Brandon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math from the University of California-Berkeley, an MBA from the University of Rochester, and a Masters of Cybersecurity from NYU, where he also serves as an Adjunct Professor. With more than 75 patents to his name, he is a thought leader across many areas, including blockchain, graph databases, threat modeling, financial technologies, and authentication mechanisms. His current research spans K12 security and privacy issues, as well as understanding the limitations of Large Language Models (LLMs) and how they’re changing the security and privacy landscape.
