NYU Tandon School of Engineering proudly announces that Cyber Lecture 15: AI & Ethics in Cybersecurity, will be held on September 18, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Pfizer Auditorium, 5 Metrotech, Brooklyn, NY. Sponsored by AIG—the multinational insurance organization—the program is designed to raise the visibility of risks and issues associated with the expanding use of artificial intelligence. Through a keynote address and a moderated panel of experts, the event will focus on ensuring AI is used responsibly to safeguard critical systems and drive innovation, both of which are critical at this moment in time, but not currently guaranteed.
Keynote speaker Jeff Schwartz, Vice President of Engineering at Check Point Software, will share industry insights on the intersection of AI and cybersecurity — exploring the opportunities and challenges AI presents for leaders navigating today’s evolving threat environment. Following the keynote, a panel of renowned cyber practitioners will join together to stimulate collaborative thinking, especially among New York’s regional businesses, government agencies, non-profits, academic institutions, media, and the public.
Speakers include:
Brandon Reagen, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Electrical & Computer Engineering and the Center for Cybersecurity at NYU
Julia Stoyanovich – Institute Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Director of the Center for Responsible AI at NYU
Wendy Callaghan – Global Head of Data, Digital, and Cyber Legal at AIG
