Generous Gift from Craig Newmark Philanthropies Funds First Cyber Clinic at NYU’s Center for Cybersecurity

While community health clinics, shelters, legal aid services, K-12 schools and other nonprofits increasingly find themselves on the front lines of cybercrime, they lack adequate resources to defend themselves from these threats. A new gift to New York University from Craig Newmark Philanthropies, a charitable organization founded by the creator of Craig’s List, seeks to address this discrepancy. The gift will underwrite the establishment of the NYU Cybersecurity Clinic at the NYU Center for Cybersecurity, an entity that will deliver free, hands-on cybersecurity support to the types of organizations referenced above. To learn more about the gift and the clinic, read the official press release at https://www.nyu.edu/about/news-publications/news/2026/may/craig-newmark-philanthropies-funds-new-cybersecurity-clinic-at-n.html
