Alon Hillel-Tuch joined NYU Tandon as an Industry Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the Fall of 2025, His research interests include hardware security, AI governance, and the intersection of technology and society. He also serves as Faculty Director of the OSIRIS Lab, driving its vision and mentoring students in cybersecurity research.
He holds an M.S. in Computer Science and Cybersecurity from NYU Tandon, an M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, where he was a Graduate Research Fellow at the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict and Complexity (AC4) at the Earth Institute, and a B.A. in Economics and Chinese Language and Culture from Hamilton College. A co-founder of the crowdfunding platform RocketHub (CFO/CTO), acquired in 2015, Hillel-Tuch also serves as Managing Partner at Stacked Capital, an early-stage deep tech fund. He testified twice on the JOBS Act, crowdfunding regulation, innovation, and online privacy and transparency.before the U.S. Congress, at the House Oversight Committee and House Financial Services Committee, The SEC and FINRA has also regularly sought his expertise, drawing on his research and white papers to help shape regulatory frameworks for online investing. These works balance consumer protections with government oversight.
