CSE Ph.D. Student Featured in Wired Article “Hacker Explains One Concept in 5 Levels of Difficulty”

Nick Renner, a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at NYU Tandon, was interviewed for a Wired magazine feature in which security researcher Samy Kamkar explains the concept of computer hacking at five different levels of comprehension—child to expert programmer. Renner, who works with Dr. Justin Cappos in the Secure Systems Lab at Tandon, represented the penultimate level in the sequence, that of grad student. Watch the video clip here.
