Animesh Basak Chowdhury

Ph.D. Candidate

Animesh is a doctoral candidate with the Center for Cybersecurity at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, working under Drs. Ramesh Karri and Siddharth Garg. His research interests include Secure Electronics Design Automation (EDA) and deep learning. Currently, he is working on adversarial attacks on the Machine Learning framework in EDA, and on the detection of microarchitectural attacks.  Prior to joining the Ph.D. program at Tandon, he completed his MS in Computer Science at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata 2016, and then spent three years as a researcher at the Tata Research Development and Design Centre (TRDDC) in Pune, India. At TRDDC, he primarily worked in the area of formal verification and security testing. Animesh  has won recognition in a  number of International Software Verification and Testing Competitions (SV-COMP, TEST COMP, and RERS-Challenge).
